End Session Commentary

Copper under stress, MCX futures linger near Rs 1200 per kg

COMEX Copper futures held near one and half week low as a break under $6 per pound capped advances. Asian markets saw thin moves as China, South Korea and Taiwan markets are closed for Lunar New Year holidays. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index added 0.52%. Japanese NIKKEI 225 index eased 0.24%. European stocks moved up modestly.US stocks saw choppy moves on Friday and recorded modest losses for the week. COMEX Copper futures are currently quoting at $5.78 per pound, down 0.36% on the day. MCX Copper futures are trading at Rs 1201.45 per kg, down 0.67% on the day. The counter rose in afternoon trades but gains have been limited.
