Commodities Buzz: Value of India's gold imports slides 10.72% on year in May-25, Silver imports zoom 600%

India's Gold imports came in at Rs 21721 crore in value terms in May 2025, falling around 10.72% compared to May 2024. Silver imports spiked around 600% on year to Rs 4823 crore in the month though. On a monthly basis, Gold imports fell around 18% while Silver imports gained by around 252%. Gold imports value in first two months of FY25 fell by 1.52% on year while Silver imports during the same period witnessed a jump of 271%.
