Economic Buzz: France jobless rate steady, employment hits record 69.6%

France's unemployment rate held at 7.5% in Q2 2025, as expected, despite a rise of 29,000 in jobless numbers. Youth and core working-age unemployment fell slightly, while the employment rate for those aged 15'64 rose to a record 69.6%. Female joblessness edged down to 7.3%, while male unemployment ticked up to 7.7%. Part-time work increased modestly as labor force participation climbed to 75.3%.
