Singapore Market ends higher

The Singapore stock market finished session modestly higher on Thursday, 01 June 2023, recouping some of the recent losses as traders react to the passage of the US debt ceiling bill by the U.S. House of Representatives.

At closing bell, the Straits Times Index (STI) index was up 7.50 points, or 0.24%, to 3,166.30 after trading between 3,155.52 and 3,176.17. Volume of 1.42 billion shares worth S$1.28 billion changed hands. There were 270 gainers and 269 decliners.
