The Nifty May 2023 futures closed at 18,304, a premium of 38.05 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 18,265.95 in the cash market. In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 1.55 points or 0.01% to settle at 18,265.95. The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 0.33% to 12.68. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank & Canara Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. The May 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 25 May 2023.
