The Nifty May 2023 futures closed at 18,178.90, a premium of 48.95 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 18,129.95 in the cash market. In the cash market, the Nifty 50 declined 51.80 points or 0.28% to settle at 18,129.95. The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, slipped 2.36% to 12.80. State Bank of India (SBI), ITC and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. The May 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 25 May 2023.
