Among the components of the S&P BSE Telecom index, Vindhya Telelinks Ltd (down 1.58%), GTL Infrastructure Ltd (down 1.44%),Tata Communications Ltd (down 1.38%),Bharti Airtel Ltd (down 1.22%),Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (down 1.06%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were HFCL Ltd (down 0.6%), Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd (down 0.33%), and Indus Towers Ltd (down 0.28%). On the other hand, GTPL Hathway Ltd (up 6.85%), Tejas Networks Ltd (up 3.28%), and Sterlite Technologies Ltd (up 2.71%) turned up. At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 260.16 or 0.44% at 59722.94. The Nifty 50 index was up 90.05 points or 0.51% at 17788.2. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 231.36 points or 0.83% at 28137.27.
