Copper Zooms Nearly 1%, Holds Around 15 Month High

COMEX Copper futures soared today, adding to latest gains amid mixed to steady equities. The metal is consolidating around 15 month high and currently quotes at $4.32 per pound, up 1% on the day. Meanwhile, in Asia, China?s Shanghai Composite index eased 0.70%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index jumped 1.85%. Japan?s Nikkei 225 fell 0.48%. European markets gained with indices in Germany and France adding 0.60% and 0.50% respectively. UK?s FTSE100 index is also up 0.63% on the day. US stocks saw choppy moves yesterday as DOW eased a bit while Nasdaq and the S&P 500 ended marginally in positive territory.
